Indications
For use in healthy swine as an aid in prevention of rotaviral diarrhea and TGE in their nursing piglets. Contains TGE and two major Rotavirus subtypes.
Administration and Dosage
Oral Method - Vaccinate healthy pregnant swine with three doses: 5 weeks and 3 weeks (oral) and 1 week (IM) before farrowing.
Injection Method - Vaccinate healthy pregnant swine with two intramuscular doses: 5 weeks and 2 weeks before each farrowing.
Oral Vaccination: Withhold feed overnight. Restore desiccated virus vaccine with diluent: add cool 5% rehydrated or pasteurized milk, one dose per quart; add only clean ground corn until thickened, feed to sow.
Intramuscular vaccination: Inject 2 mL restored vaccine, using aseptic procedures. For complete directions and precautions, refer to enclosure.
Caution
Store in dark at not over 45oF (7oC). Do not freeze. Use immediately after restoration; do not save partial contents; burn the virus container and all unused contents. Use only in healthy pregnant swine. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
Antidote
If allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Contains gentamicin as a preservative.
