PROTEX®–3


PROTEX®-3 is a modified live virus vaccine containing attenuated strains of feline rhinotracheitis virus, calicivirus and panleukopenia virus grown in the PRO-CELL STABLE CELL LINETMmedium. PROTEX®-3 is presented in a desiccated, single-dose form with sterile diluent provided for reconstitution.


Indications 
 PROTEX®-3 is for vaccination of healthy cats against feline viral rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus and feline panleukopenia virus.

Administration and Dosage
Aseptically reconstitute the desiccated vaccine vial with the sterile diluent provided and administer 1 mL by subcutaneous or intramuscular route. Vaccinate healthy cats eight weeks of age or older with two doses 3-4 weeks apart. Cats less than 12 weeks of age should be revaccinated at 3-4 week intervals until 12-16 weeks of age. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended. 

Caution
  1. Recommended storage temperature 35-45ºF (2-7ºC). Do not freeze. 
  2. Use contents promptly once reconstituted.  
  3. Non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes should be used for administration of vaccine. 
  4. Do not vaccinate pregnant queens. 
  5. Contains gentamicin as a preservative.
  6. Burn this container and all unused contents. 
  7. Only healthy animals should be vaccinated. Animals incubating any disease, or animals stressed due to shipping, malnutrition or parasitism may not achieve or maintain an adequate immune response. 
  8. This product is not hazardous when used according to directions supplied.       

Antidote
Administration of epinephrine may be indicated in the event of an anaphylactic reaction.
