Streptococcus suis Bacterin
Protect pigs from sudden death in the nursery.
First USDA licensed strep bacterin.
- Arthritis, encephalitis, endo-carditis, pneumonia, meningitis, rhinitis, septicemia or sudden death can be related to Streptococcus suis infections.
- Reduces mortality and morbidity.
- Reduces lameness and meningitis.
- Builds strong active immunity.
Indications
An aid in the prevention of meningitis and arthritis caused by Streptococcus suis.
Administration and Dosage
Vaccinate swine with one 2 mL dose IM. Give a second dose 2-3 weeks later. Pigs should be at least 3 weeks old at first vaccination. Revaccinate every six months.
Caution
For the vaccination of healthy swine. Shake well. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter. Do not freeze.
Antidote
In case of anaphylactoid reaction administer epinephrine. Contains gentamicin as a preservative. Store at 2-7oC (35-45oF).
