Vaccine Live Virus 

Description
TREMVAC-FP^® vaccine is a lyophilized live vaccine for use in breeder pullets and egg layers to prevent egg production loss and clinical disease due to avian encephalomyelitis and fowl pox. It is approved for wing web inoculation. 

Indications
TREMVAC-FP^® vaccine is indicated for the immunization of chickens at 8 to 17 weeks of age and turkeys 10 to 22 weeks of age avian encephalomyelitis and fowl pox.

Administration and Dosage
The time of administration should be determined by the degree of AE and pox virus exposure, type of chicken or turkey being vaccinated, and the current management procedures. TREMVAC-FP^® vaccine is approved for use via wing web inoculation.

Vaccination
The best protection is obtained when the vaccinated birds have time to develop immunity prior to exposure to AE and pox viruses. Good management practices are recommended to reduce the exposure to these viruses for at least 3 weeks following vaccination. Do not vaccinate prior to 8 weeks of age, or the vaccinates may develop clinical signs of AE. Do not vaccinate birds in production, or within 35 days of the onset of egg production. Vaccination during production may result in egg losses or clinical signs of AE in the progeny.
Proper vaccination should result in local swelling and scab formation at the vaccination site. At 7 to 10 days post-vaccination, a few birds should be examined for takes. 

Caution
1. Refer to the package insert for specific directions. 
2. Avoid exposure of this vaccine to sunlight.
3. Efforts should be taken to reduce stress conditions at the time of vaccination and during the reaction period.
4. Do not vaccinate birds within 21 days of slaughter.
5. All susceptible birds on the same premises should be vaccinated at the same time.
6. Do not dilute the vaccine or otherwise stretch the dosage of the vaccine.
7. Use entire contents of the vial when first opened.
8. Do not vaccinate prior to 8 weeks of age or within 35 days of the onset of egg production. Do not vaccinate birds during egg production.
