Continuum® Feline HC


Continuum® Feline HC vaccine is a modified live virus vaccine containing attenuated strains of feline rhinotracheitis virus (FRV) and calicivirus (FCV). Continuum Feline HC is presented in a desiccated form with sterile diluent provided for reconstitution. The attenuated virus strains used in Continuum Feline HC are strains of feline origin. Continuum Feline HC is produced with high-titered components that are immunogenic.



Indications 
For the vaccination of healthy cats as an aid in the prevention of disease due to feline calicivirus and as an aid in the control of disease due to feline rhinotracheitis virus for 3 years following initial and booster vaccinations.

Administration and Dosage
Aseptically reconstitute the desiccated vaccine with the sterile water provided and administer 1 mL by the subcutaneous route. Initial vaccination of healthy cats may be given as early as 8 weeks of age, with booster injections administered every 3-4 weeks until 12 weeks of age. Cats over 12 weeks of age should initially receive 2 doses 3-4 weeks apart. Revaccinate every three years with a single dose of Continuum Feline HC.

Caution
  1. Recommended storage temperature 35-45ºF (2-7ºC). Do not freeze. 
  2. For intranasal use only.  Use contents promptly once reconstituted.
  3. Non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes should be used for administration of vaccine.
  4. Avoid vaccinating pregnant queens.
  5. Administration of epinephrine may be indicated in the event of an anaphylactic reaction.
  6. Contains gentamicin as preservative.
  7. Burn this container and all unused contents.
  8. Only healthy animals should be vaccinated. Animals incubating any disease or animals stressed due to shipping, malnutrition, or parasitism may not achieve or maintain an adequate immune response.
